What Members Say
In their own words.
★★★★★
After trying various diets and trainers, I was referred to Paul and The Compound from a family member who benefitted from training with him. With Paul's assistance, I have lost 120 lbs in 10 months. Paul is very passionate about his clients and seeing them reach their goal. He caters each training session to each individual client. Driving 60 miles round trip in L.A. traffic is worth it. I would not be successful without Paul's guidance, motivation, and push.

★★★★★
As a Life Time Fitness, [solidcore], and Barry's devotee, I have high standards for my fitness venues. Paul's boutique gym has met or exceeded all of them. His facility is always kept in immaculate condition. I particularly appreciated the secure entry, clean shower and towel service, and the professionalism of Paul's team. I came for the Woodway treadmills, but stayed for the quality of the experience and the welcoming environment Paul has cultivated.

★★★★★
I have been intimidated by exercise my entire life. I finally decided to give it a try and signed up with Paul for training. I can honestly say this has been one of the best experiences of my life. Paul is kind, knowledgeable, and professional, and the gym is both well equipped and spotless. I cannot recommend both The Compound and Paul highly enough. If you want to make a change and get your health on track, this is the place to be.

Most questions are best answered in person during a free consultation. Reach out and we'll set one up.
Contact Us →How much does personal training cost in Woodland Hills? +
Personal training rates depend on package size, session frequency, and your specific goals. Paul discusses pricing during your free consultation, after he understands what you're working toward. Most clients work in packages, with payment due at the start of your first session.
What kind of clients does Paul Wassily train? +
Everyone from celebrity athletes to everyday Woodland Hills clients with weight loss, strength, performance, or recovery goals. Paul has trained Dr. Dre, the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, boxing world champion James "Lights Out" Toney, and many other public and private clients. He treats every client with the same focus regardless of background.
What credentials does a serious personal trainer need? +
A serious personal trainer should hold credentials from a recognized organization like NASM, NSCA, ACE, or ACSM. A degree in kinesiology or exercise science is a meaningful add. But years of practical experience matter most. Anyone can pass a certification exam. Not everyone has trained clients for two decades. Paul Wassily has been coaching in Woodland Hills since 2003, with a foundation in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
What's the cancellation policy for personal training sessions? +
Individual personal training sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, made directly by phone. Less than 24 hours and you'll be charged for the session. Trainers wait 15 minutes for no-shows before the session is forfeited. All purchased sessions must be completed within two months of the first session.
Do I need a Compound membership to train with Paul? +
No. Personal training sessions with Paul include facility access during your training time. If you want independent gym access outside of your sessions, a Compound membership is $89.99/month with no contract. Most clients add this once they've gotten into a training rhythm.
How does payment for personal training work? +
Payment is due in full at the start of your first session. Cash, credit card, and checks (payable to "The Compound") are accepted. Recurring billing runs through Square. Secure and modern. Your card information is never stored or transmitted directly by The Compound.
